Visions for our Future Event

On the 4 September 2006, Frankston City Council launched the Frankston 2025 Community Visioning initiative at the Visions for our Future event at Village Cinemas, Karingal.

The free event, run over two sessions, attracted over 600 community members who heard from some of Australia's most well known and respected speakers, Jamie Durie, Peter Ellyard and Ian Kiernan.

Together with host Rob Gell, the speakers entertained and inspired the audience as they presented their vision for a "sustainable" future and discussed some of the challenges facing our community.

Art displays from local school St Jude's Primary School were popular as Year 5 and 6 students presented their visions for the future of Frankston City in 2025.
