


On 22-23 September 2006, over 140 community representatives came together at the Frankston Arts Centre for the Frankston 2025 Conference.
The goal of the Conference was to share our views and discover our common aspirations for the future of Frankston City and our entire municipality. This information, together with the information gathered at the Frankston 2025 Community Workshops and through the Frankston 2025 Community Surveys, contributed to the final Community Vision.
This one-and-a-half day event saw a diverse range of organisations and representatives from our community come together. To name but a few, residents, our business community, health and education sectors, and environmental, religious, recreation, cultural and arts groups, community groups, state agencies, Councillors and Council staff were represented at the Conference!
Participants considered how the vision was likely to affect planning over the next 20 years and discussed what actions we would need to take now. Working together in small groups, and as one large group, we pooled information to discover common ground.
